THE FOUR CLANDESTINE WISDOMS
The choice of scenography arose in E.A. from childhood games and evolved through a spirit of playfulness—a psychological gateway that, in adulthood, legitimised the professional exploration of sensations associated with achieving results first encountered during childhood and early adolescence.
Enrolling in art school gave E.A. her first experience of external validation for her creative inclinations and the emotions tied to them. This marked the beginning of her “journey of joy,” an inner validation process where the creativity, anticipation, and sharing of results once felt during play re-emerged in a structured and amplified form in her adult profession as a scenographer.
The complementary and synergistic action of the four clandestine wisdoms—the deep core of the dreamer’s personality—led E.A. to express an outgoing and playful nature in collaboration with others, along with a keen instinct for space.
Already evident in her childhood drawings, the logical-observational wisdom worked unnoticed in the background, encouraging her to view reality from a different perspective. It shaped her inclinations in harmony with her instinct for spaces and guided her towards studies in architecture and scenography.
The experiential and professional virtuosity wisdom, which governs the acquisition of professional mastery, guided her towards experimentation in diverse fields—such as theatre, museums, and cinema—and shaped a multifaceted career as a portraitist, ceramicist, scenographer, costume designer, and teacher.
The intuitive and ori-genial wisdom unleashes E.A.’s inventive power in the creation of spaces, blending traditional materials with innovative, eco-friendly ones of her own design. It reveals itself in the most intimate expression of a scenographer’s work: the sketch, which transforms the director’s dreamed vision into something tangible and comprehensible.
Perceptible as early as art school in the joy E.A. derived from working in a team with her classmates, the emotional and spiritual wisdom—imbued with feelings and sensations—propelled her towards an artistic career deeply connected to both space and collaboration with others.
For E.A., art is not an act of solitary creation but is nourished by human connection and shared experiences with others.
